The Minerals Local Plan is the blueprint for mineral working in the county and guides decisions on planning applications for minerals development. A draft replacement plan has now been prepared which bring together all of the evidence collected by the Council so far, including comments made during previous consultations. It sets out a long-term vision, strategy, objectives, policies and site allocations for mineral extraction throughout the county. Site allocations in the plan fall within the Cotswold, Tewkesbury, and Forest of Dean Districts.
