Forest Routes is a Lottery funded community transport partnership in the Forest of Dean http://forestroutes.org/  

 

We are working together to raise awareness of the four community transport providers, to promote their services and to recruit new volunteers to work with them. Contact 01594 812613

If you are interested in volunteering there are many roles available; volunteer car drivers with Lydney Dial A Ride and Bream Voluntary Car Service willing to transport local people from their home to their appointments. Mileage is paid from the point of the driver’s home. You will need a driving licence, your own car or access to a car. You will receive training and complete a DBS disclosure with the organisation. Other roles include trustee, fundraising, charity shop assistants for Cinderford or Lydney.

 

Lydney Dial-A-Ride have accessible mini buses to transport people door-to-door,  volunteer car drivers and two charity shops. Bream Voluntary Car Service provide a personal service for anyone requiring transport to medically related appointments. Drivers provide a door-to-door service ensuring you are booked in for your appointment and wait until you are ready to return home. Telephone 01594 560257
